Cheung Lee 祥利冰室

Cheung Lee is an old-style cafe in North Point. The place is very clean and well maintained. The ceiling is particularly high when compared to today's standards. I particularly like the pork-chop bun and the beef sandwich here. The relaxing and cosy atmosphere of this small cafe is really a gem of Hong Kong.

The Quarterdeck Club

Fancy a pint in a place with good harbour view? Tired of drinking bottled VB and Newcastle Brown? The Quarterdeck Club at Fenwick Pier is the answer. The Aussie restaurant serves several hard to find draught beers here in Hong Kong. The Quarterdeck has both indoor and outdoor seats. Personally, I prefer the outdoor because the harbour view is much better and the wind breeze is so comfortable. The food is from mediocre to good. However, the place is always packed with people, presumably, the convenient location and the great sea view are more important to the customers.

Dai Pai Don 大排檔

There are a few dai pai dons in the Recalmation Street - Nin Po Street corner, Yau Ma Tei. Dim Sums are served in two of them. I have tried one of them two days ago. The steamed rice with salted fish and mince-pork cake were good. The environment is not pleasant to most people but I like the relaxing atmoshpere there. A very interesting place!
